Marshall Clark Owen, 84, of Roanoke Rapids, died Friday, May 10, 2013, at Hampton Manor in Gaston.

Marshall was the daughter of the late David Clifton Clark and Mary Alice Jordan Clark. She was also preceded in death by her son, Frank Martin Rightmyer III. Marshall was employed by Leggett’s Department Store for over 30 year. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Roanoke Rapids.

She is survived by her husband, Sam M. Owen; her son, David Rightmyer and his wife, Carolyn, of Littleton; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her sister, Clara Clark Wrenn of Greenville; her stepdaughter, MaryNell Gehrke and her husband, Ed, of Wendell; and two stepsons, Langdon Owen of Philadelphia, PA and Mat Owen.

Askew Funeral & Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids is handling the arrangements, where the family will receive friends on Sunday, May 12, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Joe Sandivol officiating.
